Indian Steel Portal ("we", "us") operates the Indian Steel Portal website and mobile apps (the "Service"), a B2B marketplace where verified businesses buy, sell and auction steel. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

To provide the marketplace and auctions, verify KYC, generate GST-compliant deal notes, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Trading counterparties see the business details necessary to transact (e.g. company name, delivery city, and — once a deal is awarded — contact and terms). Service providers (cloud hosting, SMS/OTP, document storage, payment/verification partners) process data on our behalf under contract. We disclose data to authorities where required by Indian law (e.g. GST, court orders).
We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service or as required by law. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Manage account → Delete my account) or via indiansteelportal.com/delete-account. On request we erase your profile, KYC documents and personal data within 30 days. Deal and invoice records may be retained where GST/tax law requires, with personal identifiers minimised.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Documents are access-controlled. Bank and ID numbers are masked in the interface. No method is 100% secure, but we apply industry-standard safeguards.
The Service is for registered businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18.
You may access, correct, export or delete your data, and withdraw consent, by contacting us. We respond within statutory timelines under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
You cannot create an account without expressly accepting this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Service, and the scope-of-service declaration confirming that Indian Steel Portal only connects buyers and sellers and that all trade documentation is completed by the parties themselves. We record the date, time and version of that acceptance against your account, and you can see it on your profile page at any time.
When a deal you are party to is completed, we email both the buyer and the seller a confirmation containing the deal details and a restatement of our role and responsibilities. These messages are sent from noreply@indiansteelportal.com, are necessary for the service you signed up for, and are not marketing. Your counterparty's business contact details appear in that email so the two of you can complete the documentation directly.
